이들 재판관은 대한민국 헌법의 수호자라는 본연의 사명을 저버리고, 정치적 편향성과 권력의 압력에 굴복한 판결을 내림으로써 국가의 법치주의와 삼권분립, 나아가 국민의 주권을 훼손했습니다. 이들의 결정은 국내뿐만 아니라 국제 사회에도 심각한 충격을 안겨주었으며, 민주주의 가치에 대한 명백한 위협입니다.

 

이에 따라 우리는 미국 정부 및 관련 당국이 다음과 같은 조치를 적극 검토해 줄 것을 촉구합니다:

 

헌법재판관 8인의 미국 입국 비자 제한 및 취소

 

이들의 미국 내 자산 동결 및 금융 거래 제한

 

관련 가족 및 협력자에 대한 2차적 제재(세컨더리 보이콧) 조치

 

이는 단순한 보복이 아닌, 민주주의와 법치주의를 지키기 위한 국제적 연대의 상징적 조치가 될 것입니다. 미국은 전 세계에서 자유와 정의의 등불을 자처해왔으며, 권위주의와 불법적 정치행위에 대해 단호히 대응해 왔습니다. 이번 역시 그러한 원칙이 일관되게 지켜질 것이라 믿습니다.

[Open Letter to the United States Government]

 

Urging Secondary Sanctions Against Eight Unjust Constitutional Court Justices of South Korea

 

To the Honorable Officials of the United States Government,

 

As a concerned citizen of the Republic of Korea and a believer in the values of liberal democracy, I write to express grave concern regarding a recent decision by the Constitutional Court of Korea. Eight justices have abandoned their solemn duty to uphold the Constitution and have instead rendered a decision that betrays the principles of justice, democratic governance, and the rule of law.

 

These eight justices, through their politically motivated and unjust ruling, have seriously undermined the constitutional order, separation of powers, and the sovereignty of the people. Their actions represent not only a domestic crisis, but a threat to democratic norms that resonate across the international community.

 

In light of these events, we respectfully urge the United States government and its relevant authorities to consider the following actions:

 

Immediate revocation or suspension of U.S. entry visas for the eight justices

 

Freezing of any assets held within U.S. jurisdiction and restrictions on financial transactions

 

Implementation of secondary sanctions on their associates, collaborators, and family members

 

These measures are not acts of retaliation, but rather a principled stand for democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. The United States has long served as a global beacon for justice and liberty, consistently responding with resolve to abuses of power and anti-democratic conduct. We believe this situation calls for the same resolve.
