I'm sure that you haven't heard Korean internet website www.ilbe.com.


ILBE(일베) is an abbreviation of Ilgan-Best Jeojangso(일간베스트 저장소), which means 'Daily Best Storehouse'.


So, why it is called 'storehouse'?


The long time ago, ILBE was a storehouse, literally. It stores internet memes from DCinside, which is the biggest internet humor community.  But Kim You-Sick (김유식), the owner of  DCinside, threaten ILBE to sue the owner. So ILBE became an individual internet humor site.


In 2008, there was a big(FUCKIN' STUPID) protest was held in Seoul. The protest was all about the import of mad cow beef, but everything they claimed in the protest was full of lie and hypocrisy. 


At that time, Protesters used various internet sites to communicate each other, so left-wing public opinion was formed. People who have a conservative opinion used this ILBE site, so now in Korea, there isn't any conservative internet site above a certain scale.



Some facts about ILBE


Ilbe users are the right wing, so most of them hate feminist, Muslim, and many progressive people/


Most of the Korean progressive peoples are silly. usually, they learn politics from Facebook.


The symbolic animal of ILBE is 'Noala'. Noala is a kind of evolved koala.

This character is created by ILBE users.


The ILBE users call themselves as 'GAY'. GAY(게이) is an abbreviation of Gasipan Yeeyoungja(게시판 이용자), which means 'User of notice boards'.


The symbolic singer of ILBE is 'MC-Moohyun'. 

NOH MOO HYUN was a president of Korea, but sorrowfully he Ungee-jumped at 'Owl rock' and dead.

But thanks to the help of some ILBE users who are good at Sony Vegas, he rebirthed as a singer.
